Rasika Acharyas give a very interesting answer to this.
If one is free of illness, is he required to go to hospital? Nope, Isn't it?
Hospital is meant to cure people of illness.
Likewise, we give our clothes to the dhobi (washerman) only when it becomes dirty.
Similarly, owing to our conditioning of birth after birth since many lifetimes, our cit (consciousness) has become impure and maligned with greed, anger, lust, envy, pride and false ego.
Hence, if we give and surrender ourselves completely to Krishna and Guru Tattva, it now becomes their prerogative to cleanse our conditioning.
Children don't worry about the dirt on their body. Its rather their mother who worries for it. The child, even while having dirt on his body, if he runs to his mother, his mother will only see her little son and not the dirt.
Similarly, Krishna doesn't see our conditioning. For Him, the pradhanta (importance) is that the devotee is surrendered and is fully dependent on Him (Bhagavad Gita 18.66).
The book 'Demystifying The Mystical Vrindavan' is the essence and crux of this entire website.
