The books begin with the intricacies of the soul with relevant examples. Prabhupada stresses that scientist and intellectuals have not been able to understand the universe in reality, and all they do is to just assume postulates and theory which they update as their research goes on and on.
These theories are not consistent, unlike Vedic Scriptures which have predicted every possible thing that scientists are presents working upon and in truth, after years of research, the scientific community eventually convey what these Vedic Scriptures eventually have concluded.

Prabhupada's quick answer with all references, and his approach of answering it very humbly but with authority is something which wows the reader and impels them to desire to go deeper in spiritual life.

Srila Prabhupada also talks about the current state of society and how everything is disintegrating with people behaving more like animals. He mentions that both animal and human eat, sleep reproduce and defend themselves then what is the difference between animal and human. He answers it by stating that it is the intelligence that distinguishes human from an animal and it is provided to humans to enquire about spirituality and purpose of life.
In the later chapters, Srila Prabhupada also tells about the urgency of Krishna Consciousness and being liberated from the cycle of birth and death. There is also a mention of pure love of Godhead and how this entire process is very easy.
The book is a very quick read in spite of it being quite long. One just can't resist reading this book more and more. Srila Prabhupada's words just hook the reader and give them a very soothing and homely feel.
